Colonie Restaurants Group will be opening its fifth modern Vietnamese eatery, Madame Nhu at the end of the month.

Located in Chatswood on Sydney’s North Shore, the restaurant draws heavily on Vietnam's postcolonial history and heritage in terms of design and food.

Director Minh Nguyen says that the menu will comprise just three items: pho noodle, summers rolls and chicken rice, and will be located in Westfield Chatswood's new Hawker Lane.

"We are delighted to join Westfield Chatswood. We've been a passionate supporter of its Hawker Lane concept from the very beginning," says Nguyen.

"It was difficult trying to cull the menu down to only three main items. However, we wanted to remain true to the spirit of hawker food and focus only on those items that we are most famous for.”

The opening of the Chatswood venue marks the Group’s first restaurant outside of Sydney’s CBD, with Nguyen adding that he plans to expand the Group's portfolio further in the not too distant future.
