Sydney's Local Taphouse in Darlinghurst, has been placed on the market.
Specialising in craft beer, the popular Sydney venue boasts three levels, including a rooftop beer garden.
Opening in 2009, Local Taphouse has rotated almost 2,000 different beers across its sixty beer taps.
The Melbourne-based owners are also the team behind other beer businesses including the original Taphouse in St Kilda, the GABS Beer, Cider & Food Festival in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland and the Stomping Ground Brewing Co.
“Our Stomping Ground brewery and venue has taken off much faster than we expected and it requires a lot of focus and capital so we are reluctantly letting the Sydney Taphouse go to concentrate on those plans”, said co-owner Steve Jeffares. “After the love that we’ve poured into the venue, we want to give it every chance to continue to shine under new ownership and we are certainly hoping to sell it to someone passionate about better beer."
