Koko Black has launched a new line showcasing Australian native ingredients.

The Melbourne-based chocolatier has collaborated with indigenous food company Something Wild to create the Australian Native Collection, which features a range of pralines and chocolate blocks.

“Australia’s rugged landscapes and vast plains produce some of the rarest and most delicate ingredients on the planet, flavours only nature could have invented,” says Remco Brigou, head chocolatier and product innovation manager at Koko Black.

“We believe these ingredients should be celebrated, explored and experienced, but most of all respected.”

There are four blocks on offer including macadamia and spotted gum honey crumble; whipstick wattle and roasted coconut; Davidson plum with 70% single origin dark chocolate and lemon myrtle with 72% single origin dark chocolate.

Six pralines have also been created, with options including caramelised white chocolate with finger lime, green ants, burnt butter cream; dark chocolate ganache with aniseed myrtle and dark chocolate with strawberry gum ganache and passionfruit jelly.

“We hope our new collection inspires others to explore and appreciate what is right here on their doorstep,” says Brigou.

The pralines are available to purchase for $3 each, $29 for nine or $49 for 16 with blocks priced at $13.50 each or $49 for a four-piece set.

The range is now available to purchase online and in-store at all Koko Black locations.
