Chef Karen Martini is heading to Melbourne’s CBD to open new restaurant, Hero.
The venue is a collaboration between ACMI (Australian Centre for Moving Image) in Federation Square and events group HospitalityM; owned by Martini and business partner Michael Gebran.
Hero will offer guests all-day dining, with Martini taking on the role of ACMI’s creative food director and Diego Rosales (The Grounds of Alexandria) working as executive chef.
“HospitalityM is excited to be partnering with ACMI to bring the love of food and culture together in the heart of Melbourne,” says Martini.
“Hero, much like our other food, beverage and events offering across ACMI, will be an extension of my approach to cookery, championing handmade, highly seasonal and organic produce.”
Victorian producers will feature heavily on the menu along with an international and local offering of wines, craft beers and bespoke cocktails.
Hero’s official opening date will be released shortly, with the venue set to open seven days from 8am until late.
