Richmond bar Harlow has launched a new rooftop bar, featuring uninterrupted views of Melbourne city.

The Australian Venue Co-owned bar underwent a $1.3 million build, with the space able to welcome 200 people once restrictions lift.

A selection of five Rooftop-exclusive cocktails as well as beers on tap, tinnies and wines will make up the drinks menu. The five cocktails take their names from some of Venue Manager Ben Lougoon’s favourite tracks: the ‘Rockstar’ with watermelon infused tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, watermelon simple syrup & chilli salt and the ‘What’s Poppin’ with Ketel One Citroen, St Germain, Aperol, grapefruit juice, lemon juice & egg white, to list just two.

Food options include pub classics such as chicken or eggplant parma, Hooch battered fish & chips, steaks and burgers, like the Sticky Fried Chicken Burger with buffalo sauce, blue cheese mayo, vinegar slaw and pickles.

Late night snacks are on offer too. Think salt & pepper calamari, cheeseburger spring rolls and crispy halloumi with strawberry, balsamic and black pepper.

Bottomless Brunches will kick off on 14 November with two-hour sessions of bottomless drinks plus a choice of lunch item on Saturdays (11.30am–1.30pm) and Sundays (12–2pm). Drinks include a selection of wines, Harlows Hooch beer and a choice of three Cocktail Bags, with nine lunch dish options, including lobster & prawn Mornay roll (with boozy Maryrose’s sauce, caviar and hand-cut potato crisps) and Melbourne schnitty parmigiana (crispy chicken, mozza, smoked ham, basil, loads of parmesan and rustic chips).

Neutral colour palatte contrasted with pops of colour from the emerald green tiles behind the bar and textured stone bar tops and landscaping, define the Rooftop’s aesthetic. A mix of high and low tables, plus wooden bench seating that wraps around the whole U-shaped space will provide ample space for guests to enjoy catch ups with friends or watch sporting events.

Harlow’s Rooftop is open Monday–Thursday from 4pm to 10pm; Friday–Saturday from 12pm to 12am; and Sundays from 12pm to 10pm.
