Hanoi Hannah’s New Quarter is set to open in Richmond on 22 March, dishing up Vietnamese cuisine.

The kitchen will be spearheaded by executive chef Anthony Choi (Circa, Cumulus, Tokyo Tina) who will work alongside Mathew John (Momofuku Daisho, Hell of the North).

The menu is broken up into smalls, wok, noodle, family style, ribs & wings, salads and desserts.

Food options include char-grilled lemongrass chicken basted in young coconut juice, crispy soft shell crab salad tossed with green mango chili caramel and garlic crumb along with turmeric fish topped with chive oil and vermicelli.

“We know pho and spring rolls are part of Hanoi Hannah’s DNA, but at New Quarter, we are most excited to introduce Melburnians to a modern twist on the textures, flavours and eating styles we have experienced first-hand in Vietnam,” says Simon Blacher, Commune director.

While New Quarter has hints of Hanoi Hannah, Blacher says the venue has a distinctive personality and a signature offering.

“Each Hanoi Hannah venue has its own defining identity,” he says. “We’ve worked hard to build a brand that has generated a loyal Melbourne following and are confident the latest instalment will be embraced by Richmond locals and beyond.”

The 110-seat dining space also has a takeaway outlet with pho, banh mi and rice paper rolls available.

Australian craft beers will be available on tap and an extensive cocktail list available.
