The former site of Bayswater Brasserie in Potts Point has recently been transformed into Greek-style lounge bar, Eros.

Venue Owner Ussi Moniz Da Silva has added Eros to his repertoire, after transforming Mrs Sippy into Sinaloa in Double Bay.

“No one is doing venues like we are,” says Da Silva. “We’ve brought the excitement back into Double Bay with Sinaloa, and completely revived the nightlife of that area after Mrs Sippy and Pellicano shut down, now we’re going to do the same for Potts Point.”

Taking inspiration from the islands of Mykonos, the venue will focus on Greek mezze dishes and innovative cocktail creations.

Dishes include chargrilled halloumi , spanakopita fingers, watermelon and ouzo salad and meat options like lamb, chicken or kofta with a side of pit, chips and tzatziki.

Diners also have the choice of constructing their own souvlakis with gluten-free options avaliable.

For larger groups a seafood platter consisting of oysters, Moreton Bay bugs and WA lobster tails and Greek salad can be ordered for $199 or a whole pig or lamb spit for $90pp.

An extensive cocktail list covers drinks like the Apollo a citrus tequila-based cocktail; the Aphrodite which combines vodka, rosewater and strawberries, and the Eros Chaplin made with peach and fig liqueur.

Eros is open from Wednesday to Sunday.
