The team behind Grainshaker vodka and Ned whisky are gearing up to open the doors to The Distiller bar in Melbourne’s Northcote later this month.

An extensive cocktail menu will feature classic drinks with a twist and cover a macadamia Negroni with Grainshaker rye; the Fancy Vodka Raspberry with rosemary and thyme shrub and Ned’s Mule with Ned whisky.

On the food front, patrons can order delivery from neighbouring business Mr Burgers using a QR code.

The venue will also double as a functioning distillery headed up by Ruby Lewis, who will work on small-batch vodka products.

Alongside expert mixologists, Lewis will host masterclasses and tastings, which will provide an educational experience for guests.

The program will include tastings of vodka fresh off the still, tips on creating infusions, cocktail making and a class on the history of whisky.

In addition, Grainshaker will utilise the space to research and develop new products in collaboration with other local distillers.

The Distiller is set to open on 26 November and will operate from 5pm until late Wednesday to Friday and 12pm until late on weekends.
