Good Food Month Sydney will return for the 22nd year this October.

2020’s program will celebrate local talent with special events headlined by Merivale’s Danielle Alavarez, Fink’s Elizabeth Hewson, Neil Perry and more.

Alvarez will host two dining experiences (lunch and dinner) on 18 October at The Apartment at Hotel Centennial, which will celebrate her new book Always Add Lemon.

The two-course menu is priced at $170pp and includes matching wine and a signed copy of the book.

Iconic Sydney restaurant Icebergs is set to give diners “A Night in Napoli” on 21 October, which will see guests savour a feast-style menu inspired by the city for $170pp.

Neil Perry, John Susman and Steve Hodges will come together on 23 October for “Hook, Wine & Drinker” at Eleven Bridge by Rockpool Events, which will feature oysters and Chardonnay on arrival followed by a seafood feast, wine and beer for $190pp.

Fink’s Elizabeth Hewson will bring her movement and newly minted book Saturday Night Pasta to life on 24 October at Eleven Bridge.

The evening will see a multi-course menu enjoyed with matching beer and wine for $150pp, as well as a signed copy of the new release.

A Young Chefs Lunch at Alibi Bar & Kitchen is not to be missed, with up-and-comers putting together a three-course plant-based menu with wine and beer for $130pp on 31 October.

“It has been a truly challenging year for hospitality…,” says Venessa Cowell, head of Nine Food Events.

“We are honoured that we can support local culinary talent and provide special dining experiences for Sydneysiders in a safe and socially responsible manner.”

The Good Food Month program will expand this year, with regional and city venues running smaller-capacity events dubbed Friends of Good Food Month, which will be announced shortly.

The Night Noodle Markets will also make a return in a new format.

Tickets for the feature events are now on sale.
