While demand for seafood continues to grow, it remains among the sectors of food supply most affected by climate change and environmental destruction.

On Monday 10 February, seafood industry experts will gather to discuss global sustainability, environmental policy and innovation throughout every aspect of the industry.

The event, to be held at Restaurant Hubert in Sydney, will see leading fisheries from the Asia Pacific share knowledge and present their take on the industry’s major challenges.

Among the speakers will be Austral Fishers CEO Dave Carter and Clean Harvest CEO Josh Goldman. Both will talk about the investments made in technology and practices that have reduced their environmental footprint. The two companies take a global approach to the issue — working to make improvements that impact both ocean regeneration and terrestrial farming.

Captain of Austral’s lead vessel in the Gulf of Carpentaria and John Susman, director of Fishtales will also talk on the evening.

Chef James McDonald will prepare some of the region’s best sustainable seafood, with tickets including a seafood buffet and drinks.

Bookings are essential.
