Fratelli Fresh will open on Sydney’s lower north shore in Crows Nest in December, replacing the Bavarian Bier Caf on Willoughby road.

The casual menu will feature artisanal-style, hand-crafted pizzas with a selection of toppings, including the diavola with spicy salami, roasted capsicum and olives; and the tartufo pizza with black truffle, egg and Fontina cheese.

The menu also features dishes including zucchini flowers stuffed with five Italian cheeses; arancini with taleggio and mixed herbs; crisped calamari fritti with aioli; lamb rag; and linguine pangrattato with lemon and chilli.

A selection of cured meats from Salumi Australia; chilli-infused scampi paccheri; simple ricotta ravioli tossed with passata and fresh basil; and black cod al cartoccio will be on offer too, as well as salads like grilled chicken with radicchio, mixed baby greens, almonds and lemon and currant vinaigrette; vine-ripened tomatoes with Mozzarella di Bufala; and a salad of bitter greens and shaved vegetables tossed in a red wine and anchovy vinaigrette.

Desserts include house-made Italian gelati with flavours such as Tahitian vanilla; nocciotella swirl; creamy tiramisu; and pistachio crunch.

Scheduled to open in early December, Fratelli Fresh Crows Nest will replace the Bavarian Bier Caf at 118 Willoughby Road, and will also offer online ordering and home delivery.

The new venue will be the eighth Fratelli Fresh for Rockpool Dining Group, which was formed in early November when Neil Perry’s dining group merged with the Urban Purveyor Group creating a $350 million dollar restaurant group headed by CEO Thomas Pash. A further four to six Fratelli family venues are planned to open across the country by the end of 2017.
