Distillery Forty Spotted has opened a dedicated gin bar in Hobart.

The bar will officially open its doors to the public on 27 November, but is now hosting gin workshops for those keen to learn more about the distilling process.

A range of gin cocktails will be on offer crafted from Forty Spotted’s line (Classic, Spotted Citrus, Bush Honey and Raspberry Rose) as well as gins from Australia and across the globe.

There will be more than 20 gins available including bottles from Boatyard Gin in Northern Ireland and Berliner Brandstifter from Germany.

The bar has been designed by March Studios and features a geometric installation made using individual pieces of timber.

“We wanted to create a bar as unique as the gin and Tasmania itself and so we hope guests will feel as though they are stepping into a completely different world when they join us,” says Dan Knight, head of hospitality.

The venue has a current capacity of 30 and bookings are essential.
