US cult burger brand Five Guys will swing open the doors to its first Australian location in Sydney’s Penrith on 20 September.

Five Guys is located on Mulgoa Road and will open for takeaway only due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place.

“I’m excited to finally be able to open the doors to our first store in Penrith with many more Australian FIVE GUYS restaurants on the horizon already planned,” says Robby Andronikos, Brand Manager of Five Guys Australia.

“[It has been] a massive effort from Five Guys, Seagrass BHG and the multiple Australian producers and businesses working in partnership to launch this brand with the exacting standards required.”

Diners within a 5km radius will be able to order at the store from a menu that covers burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, fries and milkshakes.

A hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger and bacon cheeseburger are on offer alongside ‘little’ versions.

Customers will be able to choose from a selection of free toppings including lettuce, pickles, grilled onions, jalapeno peppers and a range of sauce options.

Fries are available ‘Five Guys style’ or Cajun with a concise sandwich offering covering veggie, veggie and cheese, grilled cheese and a BLT.

A Five Guys vanilla-based shake can be made with mix-ins from Oreo pieces to chocolate, peanut butter, coffee, malted milk, vanilla, salted caramel, strawberry, banana and bacon.

The Sydney iteration joins a growing number of Five Guys venues across the globe, with stores in the US, Europe and the Middle East and a future launch in New Zealand.

The Penrith store will open daily from 11am until 10pm.
