The owners of sustainable butcher, Feather and Bone, will open the doors to Feather and Bone Providore on 27 May in Sydney’s Waverly.

Located on Bronte Road, the second location will be an all-in-one ethical butchery and retail space.

“We are thrilled to be opening our first store outside of Marrickville on Bronte Road, and bringing pasture-raised meat and poultry, and other artisanal products from some of the country’s best regenerative farmers to thoughtful food lovers in the Eastern Suburbs,” says Co-owner Laura Dalrymple.

Like the Marrickville location, the venue will offer a traditional butchery service and breakdown whole animals from suppliers such as Grassland poultry, Moorlands lamb and Near River pork.

Experts will be on hand to advise customers on cuts of meat all while respecting the animal and hard-working farmers with the group’s no-waste policy.

The ethos will also be promoted with ready-made meals, dubbed Put Your Feet Up, which will change depending on availabilities.

Chef Hamish Pollitt will prep the meals which include everything from lamb shank ragù and organic chicken and corn soup to pork ramen kits and goat curry.

Pre-made takeaway food will also be on offer and include a weekly rotation of sandwiches with one meat and one vegetarian option each day.

Guests can also expect a range garnished broths, like the organic chicken booster broth, and sausage rolls.

Feather and Bone Providore will also have an event space to host classes, farmer talks, group discussions and tastings with the aim to connect customers to producers.

“We love the idea of offering highly nutritious, clean food to families in the East, and we’re excited to also bring some of our favourite farmers to town to talk to our customers in a series of special in-store events,” says Dalrymple.

Feather and Bone will be open Tuesday to Sunday.
