The development will include a rooftop extension for their existing venue Good Heavens, along with a late-night pub both set to open this year.
The first part of the expansion will see a Good Heavens rooftop, set to be the largest in the Melbourne CBD.
The design will be led by Ewart Leaf (Lune Croissanterie designers) to create a slick, 70’s modern vibe with a central fireplace and brutalist façade.
Following the rooftop will be the opening of the pub Springrock next door in the former Grand Trailer Park Taverna space.
The late-night pub will be a low-key affair, with elevated NYC tavern-inspired food and drink offerings and a 3am license.
Expect dishes like American hotdog beef tartare, crab cake sandwiches and ‘big kid’ chicken nuggets with Yarra Valley caviar and crème fraiche.
“We want customers to have the option of moving through all three connected venues with ease, depending on what they are feeling,” says Fancy Hank’s Co-Owner Mike Patrick.
“Start the night with some low and slow barbecue at Fancy Hank’s and then catch the footy with a few pints at Springrock afterwards. Or watch the sunset
on the rooftop at Good Heavens accompanied by an after-work cocktail and then head downstairs for dinner at Fancy Hank’s or a game of pool at Springrock”.
Good Heavens is currently open amidst renovations and is located at 79 Bourke Street, Melbourne.
