A caf in Sydney’s Maroubra has been destroyed by an explosion and fire in the early hours of Tuesday, 17 May.
According to SMH, nearby residents called 000 at around 2am after hearing an explosion and seeing flames in the Nutrition Station caf, which is located near the intersection of Anzac Parade and Maroubra Road.
Up to 50 people were evacuated from surrounding buildings, with no reported injuries.
While the cause of the fire is yet unknown, a crime scene has been established due to the extent of the damage.
