El Estanco in the Barossa will unveil its expansion in September after securing the property opposite the Greenock restaurant.
Owners and chefs Abby Osborne and Julian Velasquez will continue to serve up seasonal dishes influenced by South American cuisine at the new location, dubbed El Estanco Mark II.
“The new site will offer the same intimate settings and unique style our customers know and love, but we’re also able to include an artisan bakery, coffee roaster, market garden, kids’ nature play area, wood-fired pizza oven and an area for larger events and gatherings,” says Osborne.
Freshly baked goods will form a core part of Estanco Mark II’s offering, with Osborne calling on her background as a patisserie chef to design a new offering.
“It feels right to introduce a range of goods that are freshly baked right here at El Estanco. Our little ‘Panadería’ will offer locals the opportunity to buy local,” says Osborne.
The new location will open seven days a week, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday for dinner, and is slated to open in early September.
