Devon Café has opened its third location, bringing its brunch and sandwich menu to North Sydney.

Joining existing venues in Surry Hills and Barangaroo, the 70-seat café will offer a dinner menu for the first time, under the direction of executive chef  Zachary Tan.

By day, Devon North Sydney will serve up brunch favourites such as the Croissant St Denis with omelette, lobster meat, bisque beurre blanc, caviar and fine herbs in a fresh croissant.

There’s also a takeaway ‘sando’ menu including panko prawns, tom yum mayo, cabbage and thai herbs on white bread or crumbed field mushrooms, rocket, feta and melted cheese on toast.

The dinner menu features fresh egg pappardelle with lobster, cherry tomatoes, garlic, chilli and olive oil, and share plates including roasted whole chook and 12-hour beef short ribs.

For dessert, there’s soft serve with hot chips and the Japanese shaved ice dessert kakigori.

Tan says he’s excited to be serving customers on the North Shore.

“We’ve had customers travelling from northside to Surry Hills and Barangaroo for a while now so we thought it was time to make it a little easier for them,” he says.

“I can’t wait to give them a local option for great coffee, brunch, and a delicious and affordable dinner. I don’t believe anyone is doing what we do in the area, so it’s really exciting.”

Devon will also serve its own house blend of coffee, roasted by head barista John Lee. The drinks menu also features matcha lattes, iced teas, freshly squeezed juices, plus beer on tap, an international wine list and classic cocktails.
