Malaysian venue Dave’s Deli will open in Sydney on 18 January, dishing up fast food cooked slow.

The outlet will open in a laneway location in Curtin Place, taking over an outlet in the Tank Stream Hotel.

The venue will offer a range of dishes served in less than 10 minutes at a price point of $14.95 to $17.50. The philosophy is to go beyond takeaway food by providing made-to-order meals using fresh produce and quality.

Options include roast chicken, beef and chicken pies, lasagne, pork belly roast and gourmet pork sausages.

Dishes come with truffle mash, roasted vegetables, coleslaw and gravy. Seasonal and weekly specials will also be offered.

Dave’s Deli was launched originally in 1989, and is best known as the home of the original ¼ roast chicken in Malaysia. There are now 12 locations across Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

“We think Dave’s Deli can add to Sydney’s rich dining culture by taking culinary cues from home-style comfort food,” says Brian Chin, Dave’s Deli CEO.

The venue will be open Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 3pm.
