Sydney’s Da Orazio has launched an Italian-inspired spin-off bar right next door to the iconic restaurant.
Ori’s Bar in Bondi has room for 30 diners and is open for walk-ins only, serving up pre-batched cocktails and snacks.
Owner Orazio D’Elia says guests can make of the bar what they want, from grabbing a quick drink before dining at the restaurant to sampling a range of dishes.
“I love the piazzas in Italy, they are my favourite; a relaxed, no-attitude space where you can stay and unwind with family and friends,” says the chef. “I am happy to bring my interpretation of this to Bondi.”

Guests can choose from a menu of classic cocktails covering a barrel-aged Negroni, an Old Fashioned and the Orazio, which sees vodka combined with watermelon, limoncello, cucumber and mint.
Snacks include beef tartare tart with trout roe and chives; octopus and stracciatella bruschetta and proscuitto and reggiano croquette.
Diners can also order from Da Orazio’s menu if they’re looking for the full dining experience.
Ori’s Bar is open Thursday to Sunday.
