Carl’s Jr. has announced it will open in Sydney’s Wetherill Park in 2021. The move comes after the brand’s Victorian launch.

Known for its Chargrilled Thickburgers™ and Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Milkshakes™, the global burger chain has strengthened its partnership with CJ’s QSR Group, which will also launch Carl’s Jr. in Metro Sydney and parts of regional NSW.

“We’ve already had tremendous success within the Australian market and aim to open 100+ restaurants around the country over the next ten years,” said Gaven Needham, general manager – Asia Pacific of Carl’s Jr. parent company, CKE Restaurants.  “Given the importance of Australia in our overall development plans, we couldn’t think of a stronger partner than the CJ’s QSR Group to support our ambitious roll out plans for Sydney.’’

Carl’s Jr. franchisee CJ’s QSR Group Managing Director Andrew Firn said the Australian company was excited to provide more than 60 jobs to local residents with the opening of Carl’s Jr. at Greenway Wetherill Park.

“This will be the first restaurant to open in metropolitan Sydney,” he said. “We will swiftly expand as property deals have already been negotiated in four regional areas, with several more across the metro Sydney area. We are still actively seeking out the best sites across the state. Compared to other burger chains, we believe Carl’s Jr. in NSW will offer better quality, service, value and hospitality in a premium quick service restaurant environment. We will offer a best in class proven menu, and a quality restaurant experience, sure to succeed in the sophisticated Sydney market’’.

Carl’s Jr. Wetherill Park will be located at the Greenway Centre, 1187 The Horsley Drive.
