Colin Fassnidge has revealed plans to sell or close his Sydney restaurant 4Fourteen by the end of July.
The lease on the Surry Hills restaurant will be up next month, and the celebrity chef says he won’t be resigning.
“I’d need to sign another lease and I’m not signing for another five years, I’ve got too much else going on,” he told Good Food.
If the venue fails to sell, Fassnidge has confirmed he will close the restaurant for good.
Current staff at 4Fourteen will be given the option to move to his other venues, which include Banksia Bistro, in southern Sydney, and Pyrmont’s Terminus Hotel.
Sicne its opening in 2012, 4Fourteen has achieved a one-hat status for its modern Australian menu.
