Following the closure of his Sydney diner, Gastro Park, chef Grant King has announced he’ll open Antipodean Restaurant and Bar in late May.
Gastro Park operated in Potts Point for six years, before closing in April this year.
Now, King is preparing to launch Antipodean – “a tribute to the best local artisans, farmers, growers, forages, fisherman, wineries, breweries, distilleries and ceramicists Australia and New Zealand have to offer,” a statement announcing the new venture reads.
Located at the same site on Roslyn Street, Antipodean will be a casual restaurant, with the vast majority of its produce coming from Australia or New Zealand.
“We will be working closely with local producers to bring a diverse menu of the best this part of the world has to offer a t a very accessible price point,” the statement reads.
Antipodean will be open seven nights a week as well as for lunch on Fridays and brunch and lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
