Campari Australia has launched a new bartender-friendly reference guide in the form of thecocktailstudio.com.au
The website has been curated by Campari Australia’s team of brand ambassadors and comprises a range of cocktail recipes that have been categorised into collections based on flavour, occasion and mood. The site also uses a ‘recommendation engine’ that describes drinks visually.
The site has been built using data and graphic mapping that reflects the strength and flavor attributes of every cocktail and also uses a ‘dynamic mark’ on each page which offers a visual cue for how different liquids combine for taste. Each colour represents a drink’s dominant flavor plus six other flavor variables – bitter, spirit, sour, sweet, fruit or refreshing.
The site also provides bartenders with a bit of history behind each cocktail so they can provide customers with in insight into the origins of their drink. The related cocktails tag suggests similar options to a chosen cocktail, and the ‘little bit different’ feature invites further flavor explorations.
The ‘By Occasion’ tab provides a helpful tool for those which to adjust their drinks lists. Brunch & Lunch comprises the Bellini, Espresso Martini and Bloody Mary; while Summer Entertaining showcases the Absolutely Fabulous, Hurricane and Aperol Spritz amongst others.
Other collections include Nights Caps, Pre-Dinner Drinks, Crowd Pleasers and Fun & Fabulous Cocktails.
