New data has shown consumer spending has shifted this week, with cafes and restaurants hit hard.
However, delivery has continued to surge to become one of the most successful avenues in the current climate.
The data comes from credit bureau Illion in partnership with economists at AlphaBeta and is based on the transactions of 250,000 customers.
Cafes were down by 42%, marking the sector as one of the most severely affected categories.
Restaurants and fast food also suffered a decline, with spending down 13%.
However, food delivery was one of the handful of categories (home improvement, alcohol) on the up.
Food delivery sales increased by 63%, and with Australians encouraged to stay at home over the Easter long weekend, the percentage could increase even more next week.
