The Business of Food Expo will be held at the Kingston Town Hall in Moorabbin on 28 August.

Speakers, Q&A panels and exhibitors will inform, network and share lunch with the audience of business owners in hospitality and retail food product.

This is the fourth year the expo has run and the second year organisers Jane Del Rosso of My Other Kitchen, Carlos Swinton-Lee of Bar & Restaurant Consultants and Kingston Municipal Council have collaborated.

Rita Erlich, renowned food journalist and cookbook author, will speak at the expo along with Jarryd Burns, co-founder and commercial director at Thankyou — a social enterprise that exists to fund life-changing water, food aid, hygiene and sanitation and child and maternal health projects locally and globally

“Having navigated through a start-up journey that was full of challenges, I am extremely passionate about helping others become the best they can be, regardless of what obstacles they face” says Burns.

Two Q&A panels will discuss the obvious challenges of the food journey and provide answers to often-asked questions as well as personal experience.

The expo is sponsored by Silver Chef, Hospitality Equipment Finance Solutions and Hospitality World Direct, with Ordermate exhibiting.

Exhibitors will cover topics that challenge a food business including hospitality and commercial kitchen design and fit-out, coffee suppliers, equipment providers, financiers, business mentors, distributors and ordering systems.
