The Coronoration Club in Sydney’s Inner West has reopened with a new look after closing its doors in 2018.
The venue has undergone a rebuild and now boasts a 130-seat bar and eatery along with a 61-seat cafe overlooking Burwood Road.
CEO Carolynne Williams says the club was in need of some TLC to ensure its longevity in the future.
“The original building dated from the 60s, had insufficient parking and we were land locked,” says Williams.
“Trading had to be revived and renewed for a new customer and era so the only way we could provide our members with a secure future for the club was to demolish and rebuild.”
The core food and beverage offerings Coro88 and Nelson’s By The Park have been spearheaded by Great Eats, a food consultancy group.
The menus have taken traditional club dishes and added a modern twist, with a steak sandwich getting an upgrade with Wagyu beef and the coffee offering sourced from St Dreux.
Diners can also sample dishes including fish and chips, grilled duck breast, a fried chicken burger and crab tagliatelle.
Both venues are now open.
