Bayfield Hotels has announced that it will be opening two new destinations within its Woollarha venue, The Light Brigade this April.

The Northern Beaches publicans purchased the hotel early last year, marking the group’s first investment in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Since the official handover, the art-deco hotel has undergone a noticeable transition and now the group has announced that it will be adding two new destinations to its offering.

The venue’s level two pink powder room will be transformed into the Brigade Lounge: a cocktail bar with a 1920’s flair; and a never-before used open air space will become the Brigade Rooftop.

“We ventured into the Eastern Suburbs last year and one of the most exciting things about taking ownership of The Light Brigade Hotel is to leverage the magnificent view it offers. We have been tirelessly working on the plans for these new bars and could not be more eager to unveil them in just a few months,” says Kaine Bayfield, group general manager of Bayfield Hotels.

The design is being spearheaded by renowned architects and interior designers, SJB. Director of SJB, Jonathan Richards says that The Brigade Rooftop will have a casual, relaxed vibe akin to a neighbour’s terrace, while the Brigade Lounge has been designed with deep rich tones to create an atmospheric cocktail bar.

“The new rooftop bat will be unlike anything in Sydney – it has an extraordinary outlook across the roofs of Paddington toward the city and harbour skyline,” says Richards.

“…The bar and lounge areas sit within the beautiful Art Deco interior architecture, charaterised by the original curved detailing and high ceilings.”

To complement the new destinations within the Hotel, executive chef Marco Adler has developed an all new menu comprising a range of wood fired pizza.
