Bar Luca has announced a new venture, Loaded by BL, which is set to open 23 October at 170 Missenden Road, Newtown.
The venue revolves around a ‘build your own’ concept where customers can select a burger, hot dog, mac n cheese or fries as a base before adding toppings.
“We’ve had this idea for ages,” Bar Luca owner Sarah Robbin tells Broadsheet. “It all started with mac‘n’cheese. I thought, ‘What would it be like to have a loaded mac n cheese?’ It kind of went from there.”
Loaded will offer more than 70 different toppings for customers to select, including slow-cooked meats, pickles, fried mozzarella patties and tater tots. There will also be five varieties of cheese and 20 sauce options available.
For those who can’t decide, the venue will also put together a list of suggestions.
