Asian street food eatery Bang Bang is slated to open a new location in Melbourne’s Hampton on 17 April.

The opening follows Bang Bang’s flagship location in Melbourne’s Mordialloc.

Bang Bang’s menu will feature a range of Asian street food dishes taking inspiration from areas such as Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and India.

The menu will be split up into sections of bites, raw dishes, gua bao, small plates, large, plates and sides plus a dessert offering.

Some of the highlights on the menu include prawn wontons with tom kha and Thai basil oil; beef cheek Massaman curry; Balmain bug and pork larb with roaster rice powder; and twice-cooked pork belly with chilli caramel and wombok.

Bang Bang will also serve up a selection of gua bao including an option with 12-hour short rib with sticky Korean bbq sauce, sesame Kewpie, and pickled daikon.

The raw section will also include a raw tasting plate featuring Pacific oysters and Hiramasa kingfish sashimi.

Drinks-wise, the Bang Bang team have crafted a range of signature cocktails including The Mango Lassi (Bacardi spiced rum, mango, lemon, and wonderfoam) and the Midnight Rose (Saint Felix Midnight Vodka, Chambord Liquer, strawberry, hibiscus, pineapple, and lime).

Bang Bang will also offer two feed me menus for either $57.50 (food only) or $89 per person which will feature a selection of the chef’s favourite dishes plus a cocktail.

There will also be a happy hour Monday-Friday from 5-6pm which will offer $2 oysters, $15 cocktails, and a raw tasting plate for $35.

Bang Bang will be open for dinner daily, and for lunch Friday through to Sunday.

Bang Bang is slated to open on 17 April at 315 Hampton Street, Hampton, Victoria.
