The Australian Open 2018 has announced the launch of the AO Chef Series at The Glasshouse.
The event will bring together some of the world’s most respected chefs to create personalised dining experiences in a series of pop-up restaurants.
Chefs include Peter Gilmore (Quay and Bennelong, Sydney); Angela Hartnett (Murano, London); Alejandro Saravia (Pastuso, Melbourne) and Jake Nicolson (Blackbird Bar & Grill, Brisbane).
Gilmore will host his first ever Melbourne event, an intimate one-night-only five-course degustation menu, on 24 January.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of one of Australia’s greatest sporting events and showcasing a selection of Quay’s signature dishes down in Melbourne,” he says.
Acclaimed UK Michelin Star chef Angela Hartnett will create a five-course degustation menu, which will feature seasonal Australian food with an Italian accent.
Saravia will showcase produce from regional Gippsland in the first viewing of Farmer’s Daughters, a personal passion, all matched with local wines.
Nicolson, two-hatted executive chef from Brisbane’s Blackbird Bar & Grill, will create a four-course degustation heritage-style Australian menu.
