Elizabeth Mitchell has been appointed the new head chef of Swillhouse’s Alberto’s lounge.
The chef joins the restaurant after a long stint at Don Peppino’s and is also the co-founder of Ten Hats which host a series of one-off dining events.
Much of Mitchell’s experience stems from a life-long passion for cooking, with her work ranging from the fine and casual dining.
“We used to borrow copies of Gourmet Traveller from the library,” says the chef. “Mum always thought it was a waste to have them lying around the house.”
Mitchell is keen to bring her love for dining and drinking to the restaurant kitchen.
Alberto’s Lounge first opened in 2018 as the sibling venue to Restaurant Hubert with Chef Dan Pepperell at the helm.
