Melbourne’s Albert Park Hotel is slated to relaunch in the coming weeks after undergoing renovations.
The Colonial Leisure Group-owned venue will open with a number of dedicated spaces including Happy Valley Chinese restaurant, a traditional pub area and an outdoor dining area.
Executive chef Ken Yuen is running the Happy Valley kitchen which will see a menu chock-full of Aussie favourites including Peking duck pancakes, Singapore noodles and prawn toast.
Diners can also sample char siu salmon with fried egg, mushroom rice noodles, kampot pepper Wagyu and yellowfin tuna in orange and sesame dressing.
The wine list will showcase Australian producers with a focus on Victorian-made wines alongside a selection of vintage wines including German Riesling and drops from Bordeaux and Champagne.
Bar manager Asher Spitz has curated the drinks offering which sees the cocktail list largely inspired by Yuen’s menu.
The Park Side Spritz includes Widges gin, bay leaf wine, Mancino Secco vermouth and lemon and celery bitters with the Espresso Tropicale seeing Tried & True vodka combined with Sichuan pepper, espresso, lime and coconut.
The Albert Park Hotel will be open seven days a week. Official launch date will be confirmed shortly.
