Sydney commuters can now enjoy craft beers while travelling to and from Manly, thanks to a new partnership between 4 Pines Brewing Company and Harbour City Ferries.
4 Pines has been chosen to operate bars and cafés on board the four ferries travelling between Manly and Circular Quay.
The 4 Pines Ferry Bar will open seven days a week, serving food throughout the day and craft beers from 4pm.
Canned beers will be on offer including Indian Summer Ale, American Pale Ale and In Season IPA, as well as Brookvale Union Ginger Beer and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
The food offering, made in-house by 4 Pines, features granola with Greek yoghurt, seasonal fruit coulis and fresh fruit; Le Pig Toastie with leg ham, gruyere, cheddar and Dijon Mustard on sourdough bread; and El Salvador wrap with smoked chorizo, spiced beans and tomato chutney.
Sydney Harbour Ferries managing director Martin Kearney says the move to offer a bar service brings Sydney in line with ferries across the world.
“Sydney ferries are popular with tourists and I am certain the prospect of an iconic Australian beer such as 4 Pines will appeal to many of them,” he says.
