The winners of the 2015 Eat Drink Design Awards were announced on Tuesday 17 November at Melbourne venue 64 Sutton.

Now in its fourth year, the annual Awards program is designed to recognise and celebrate excellence in hospitality design in Australia and New Zealand. The Awards span across six categories: Best Bar Design, Best Restaurant Design, Best Caf Design, Best Temporary Design, Best Retail Design and Best Identity Design.

This year’s awards saw a record number of entries. 175 projects were entered into the awards and from these, 88 were shortlisted, 26 received high commendations and seven won awards.

In addition, Icebergs by Lazzarini Pickering was inducted into the Eat Drink Design Awards Hall of Fame, in recognition of its influence in design and its position in the Australian culinary landscape.

The 2015 judging panel comprised: chef Karen Martini; Pascale Gomes-McNabb, architect, Pascale Gomes-McNabb Design; Stephen Todd, Australian Financial Review design editor; Stuart Krelle, interior designer, Luchetti Krelle; and Cameron Bruhn, editorial director Architecture Media.
