Chris Morris, Woodford Reserve’s master distiller will be heading to Australia next week for the first time in nine years to host educational sessions and bespoke dinners across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Morris has spent his entire working life in the bourbon industry and became Woodford’s master distiller in 2004. From there, Morris launched the Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection to critical acclaim, followed by Woodford Reserve Double Oaked in 2012.

Morris also created the first new Rye whiskey crafted in Kentucky in a generation, Woodford Reserve Rye, which is slated for a 2016 Australian release.

Woodford Reserve’s brand awareness in Australia has continued to go from strength to strength over the past few years. Morris’ visit will complement the existing On Premise ‘Lighthouse Account’ program, implemented by Woodford Reserve for the past four years across the country, as well as the planned launch of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.

Venue operators, trade partners, bar staff and consumers will be invited to take part in a special brand education session in each state.
