Sydney’s the Baxter’s Inn together with Melbourne’s The Black Pearl have made it into the top 10 of the World’s 50 Best Bars list.
The list – now in its sixth year – is determined by industry experts via a worldwide survey run by Drinks International magazine.
The Baxter’s Inn secured the number six spot on the list, and the Black Pearl came in at number 10.
Melbourne’s The Everleigh and Sydney’s Bulletin Place also made the cut coming in at number 25 and 28 respectively.
Speaking with Good Food, owner of Baxter Inn Anton Forte said he was thrilled to take out the sixth position on the list, adding that the bar scene around Australia has gone from strength to strength over the years.
"Bulletin Place has the best drinks in the world. Lobo Plantation creates such amazing buzz and atmosphere. And the New Sydney Hotel in Hobart exemplifies everything good about Australian pub culture. I love that bloody place!"
