Koko Black is teaming up with Tokyo Lamington to create three limited lamingtons for World Chocolate Day.

It will be the first time Tokyo Lamington’s creations are available in Sydney, with the brand only available in Singapore and Tokyo.

The public will be able to get their hands on a three-pack of lamingtons which includes caramelised coconut, Davidson plum and Sao Thome and triple choc treats.

Caramelised coconut features almond and caramelised coconut cremeux covered in white chocolate with a carmaelised coconut finish, while the Davidson plum lamington combines the native plum with dark Sao Thome chocolate before it’s covered in white chocolate and coated with coconut and Davidson plum.

The triple choc lamington has a ganache made from 80 per cent dark chocolate and a dark chocolate coating completed with dark chocolate shavings.

But they’ll only be available on 7 July in Koko Black’s Melbourne (Carlton, Chadstone, Como Centre (South Yarra), Doncaster, Highpoint Shopping Centre, Town Hall, Royal Arcade, The Glen Shopping Centre) and Sydney locations (QVB, The Strand).

Koko Black’s head chocolatier Remco Brigou worked closely with Tokyo Lamington’s co-founder Eddie Stewart (ex-Black Star) to develop the flavours.

“The key for both Eddie and I when developing the lamington flavours was to reflect our joint passion for celebrating our brands’ Australian heritage in a contemporary way,” says Brigou.

The packs are limited and available for $21.
