The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards has confirmed it will host the 2022 ceremony in Moscow, Russia.

It comes after the program resumed in-person events this year in Flanders for the first time since 2019.

The awards will be hosted in July and will see global chefs, restaurateurs and other food and drink professionals come together to celebrate the top 50 restaurants.

“With the international restaurant scene gathering pace once again, we are thrilled to announce Moscow as the host destination of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022 this coming July,” says William Drew, director of content.

“Following the successful return our live awards program in 2021, we have no doubt that the 2022 event program will allow the global gastronomic community to reconnect once more in person and celebrate the indomitable spirit of the hospitality sector on an even greater scale.”

There will be a number of events held alongside the ceremony including #50BestTalks, a chef’s feast heroing local produce from the Moscow region and bespoke dining experiences.

The official date for the awards will be announced shortly.
