Internationally renowned chef, restaurateur, television presenter and author, Peter Kuruvita has joined leading foodservice equipment supplier, Stoddart as their new brand ambassador for Australia and New Zealand.

Kuruvita began his love affair with food and cooking in the traditional kitchen of his ancestral home in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

After four decades in the kitchen, Kuruvita has furthered his career by encompassing the roles of TV presenter, author, industry speaker, tour guide and food and beverage consultant.

The chef will support and represent a range of brands from Stoddart, including Giorik, Adande, Woodson and Simply Stainless.

“We are especially excited with Peter joining the Stoddart team and working with us,” says Stoddart National Marketing Manager David Richardson.

“We have some amazing things planned and we look forward to a long and rewarding association with Peter and Alba by Kuruvita.”

Alba is Kuruvita’s latest undertaking and is a hub of food and beverage offerings, with Sunshine Coast produce and the local community at its heart. Combining a cafe, providore, pizzeria, and relaxed all-day bar, that evolves into a stylish restaurant and cocktail venue as the day progresses.

“I am honoured and excited to be teaming up with Stoddart Australia and representing them in the food and beverage industry,” says Kuruvita.

“Stoddart are the premium suppliers to Australia’s food service sector. I look forward to representing them and showcasing some of their amazing brands in the Chef’s Kitchen at my new venue Alba by Kuruvita. I welcome you all to come and have a look.”

The venue also hosts Alba Chef’s Kitchen, a creative space for cooking classes, private chefs’ tables, and kitchen studios.
