Entries for the 2018 Savour Patissier of the Year competition are now open.
Returning to Sydney in 2018, the event will be bigger than ever with qualified patisserie professionals from around the globe eligible to enter.
Developed by internationally renowned pastry chef and owner of Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School Kirsten Tibballs, the competition has continued to gain international interest from some of the world’s finest pastry chefs.
The 2018 competition will take place at Foodservice Australia from 27–29 May and there are only 30 finalist positions available.
“Over the past two years, the competition has continued to grow and the global attention we have received has been amazing,” says Tibballs. “It has always been a goal of mine to provide a platform that recognises and celebrates talented pastry chefs — something I believe we have and will continue to achieve, and that makes me extremely proud.”
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to master their products and enter across four categories including tarts; eclairs sponsored by Ravifruit; entremets sponsored by Callebaut and desserts sponsored by Bulla Family Dairy.
The 2018 competition will host an impressive panel of judges including Frank Haasnoot, Dinara Kasko, Jerome Landrieu and Paul Kennedy.
Along with the title of 2018 Savour Patissier of the Year, the winner will receive $15,000 cash and over $30,000 worth of prizes.
The competition is open to public, and will also be streamed live to a global audience on Savour Chocolate and Patisserie Facebook page.
