The team behind acclaimed bar Maybe Sammy have opened a sibling venue in Sydney’s CBD.

Sammy Junior is offering up a stellar coffee and cocktail offering alongside breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Co-owner Martin Hudak says Sammy Junior revolves around the notion of a premium coffee and cocktail experience.

“Traditionally, a venue is either great at coffee or great at cocktails but there’s not many venues that combine those two offerings successfully,” he says.

“We’re fortunate to have a team who is internationally awarded for delivering exceptional bar and coffee experiences, so it made sense to combine them into one venue.”

Sammy Junior is home to an espresso bar which is brewing a house blend that combines Brazilian, Colombian and Ethiopian beans roasted by Hudak himself.

Ms Cattea is supplying the tea with Bespoke Chai and Callebaut hot chocolate also on offer.

Consultant Chef Rob Lechowicz is behind the menu which kicks off with strawberry chia pudding, smashed avo, pastries by Sonoma and moves into sandwiches, wraps annd bowls.

Aperitivo begins from 3pm, with $2 Appellation oysters on offer as well as cheese, Sicilian olives and LP’s mortadella, salami and proscuitto di Parma.

Guests will be able to enjoy Maybe Sammy’s world-renowned cocktails with six mini options available for $13 each.

Choose from a coffee Negroni (Widges gin, Mr Black amaro, Campari, Cinzano, 1757 Rosso); Irish Coffee (Roe & Co Irish whiskey, honey, muscovado, filter coffee, cream); Espresso Martini (3yo rum, Mr Black, coconut water, espresso); Martini Australiano (Widges gin, lemon myrtle, Apera Fino); Cascara Fizz (Ketel One Vodka, raspberry liqueur, Cascara soda) or TI Punch Spritz (Rum, Mr Black, coconut water, espresso).
