Melbourne’s CBD is home to a sleek new coffee spot courtesy of the team behind Rustica sourdough bakery.

First Love Coffee has been purpose-built for standing room only, with a coffee bar brewing alongside a range of to-go breakfast and lunch options.

The brand has taken the Collins Street opening as a prime opportunity to launch a house blend named after the cafe’s moniker, First Love.

Ethiopian, Brazilian and Nicaraguan single-origin beans are available to purchase as well as a house Polaroid blend.

“Our green beans are sourced from all corners of the world then roasted by our team in Port Melbourne,” says Director Drew Gibbs.

“We’re really excited to share the space with the city crowds.”

The venue’s food offering showcases Rustica’s signature baked goods with everything from pastries to sourdoughs up for grabs.

Options include a bacon and egg brekkie roll; seedy sourdough with mushrooms, goat’s curd, spinach and truffle oil; poached chicken sandwich with avocado, mixed greens and cheese and a miso cauliflower and quinoa salad with broccolini, kale, raisins, almonds and mixed leaves.

First Love is open Monday to Friday from 7am until 4pm.
