Passiontree Velvet will be bringing its unique high tea experience to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre marking the opening of its fifth venue.

With a business model designed around making high tea more affordable, the venue blends the characteristics of an English tea house, a Parisian patisserie and a Belgian chocolatier to create a unique and approachable high tea experience.

“I have experienced High Tea from a variety of places from around the world and found the amazing ones to be extremely expensive and the more affordable ones sometimes lacking in quality,” says Passiontree Velvet’s project manager, Chris Sheldrick.

“I came to realise that this is often because high teas are an add-on or a second thought to a caf or hotel − something that’s not at the heart of what their business does. We have set out to build an establishment that produces High Tea as our core business − and this is exactly what we have done.”

Four high teas options are avaliable including: Devonshire Cream Tea, Chocolatiers High Tea, Teddy Bears Picnic (children) and The Full Duchess High Tea.

The venue comprises an experienced team of pastry chefs, and a French trained chocolatier who have crafted a menu of breakfast items, lunch-time savouries and sweets in addition to the high tea offering.

Beverage wise, a full suite of Harney & Son’s teas, suppliers of London’s Dorchester Hotel, and the Ritz Claridges are on offer.
