Orange celebrates its cool climate wines once again this spring with the 2017 Orange Wine Festival. Running from 13–22 October with 80 individual events, the festival showcases the region’s vineyards and cellar doors along with the restaurants and produce for which the area is renowned.

Highlights include Wine in the Vines, a day-long wine discovery and roving lunch through vineyards and cellar doors; the Orange Wine Show, with tastings and masterclasses on regional characteristics and the Wine and Food Night Market in Robertson Park, where more than 50 food and wine stallholders will showcase their wares.

There are also indigenous cultural experiences, special dinners and lunches, food workshops, live music and family-friendly events.

“The Orange Wine Festival is proudly supported through our Flagship Event Fund which supports events in regional New South Wales that have the potential to become key tourism events by attracting overnight visitation,” says Sandra Chipchase, Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to the region once again this October for an event that will highlight Orange’s growing appeal as a leading New South Wales food and wine destination.”

The Vino Express, launched in 2016, is back again for the 2017 festival. The train, which departs from Central Station on Friday 20 October and returns on Sunday evening, is the easiest way to get to Orange to ensure a relaxed, stress-free weekend.
