The time to recognise the best of the best in both Melbourne and Sydney's bar scenes is once again upon us with the announcement of the nominees for the 2016 Time Out Melbourne and Sydney Bar Awards.
Now in their fourth year, the Melbourne Awards will span across 11 categories and will this year be located at a new host venue, The Mill House in Flinders Lane. The eighth annual Sydney Awards will comprise 13 categories including the new Party Started Award, and will take place at Sky Terrace at the Star.
“Each year the Time Out team secretly visit [Melbourne and Sydney's] bars, give them a fresh review and nominate the best for our Awards,” says Time Out Australia CEO Michael Rodrigues.
“The Awards are our way of saying thanks to the people and venues that keep [Melbourne and Sydney's] night-time culture vibrant.”
The awards will be emceed by Andrew McClelland and beverages supplied by White Rabbit, Makers Mark and Hydrodol. Snack will also be provided on the night.
