According to Dimmi, this year Mother’s Day restaurant bookings were up 61 percent, with Critini’s the most popular dining location in the reservation website’s database.
Traditionally one of the busiest days in the foodservice calendar, this year 22 percent of all Mother’s Day bookings were made within 24 hours of dining and 30 percent were within 48 hours.
The average spend was up slightly on last year, sitting at $53.74 compared to $53 in 2015, and the number of ‘no-show’ diners decreased by four percent.
