Deicorp is set to deliver an expansive street food-style offering to its upcoming shopping centre Melrose Central.
Slated to open mid-2026, the dining precinct will cover 4,700 square metres – more than triple the size of Burwood Chinatown.
Deicorp Head of Retail Bilinda Turner says their concept is a “graduated evolution” of what people love about Burwood Chinatown, East Village, and Regent Place.
“By curating the very best tenants from across Australia, we’re creating a fit-for-purpose town centre for 2025 and beyond. It’s something that people truly haven’t seen before,” says Turner.
Basalt Studio’s Anthony Ho designed the street food concept with neon-lit laneways, open kitchens, live grill stations, interactive displays, and light installations that take inspiration from global cities like Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, and Singapore.
The dining offering will be part of the larger shopping centre, which will span 30,000 square metres over four levels. Restaurateurs interested in joining the precinct can express interest here.
Melrose Central is located 6km east of Parramatta CBD and 15km west of Sydney CBD in Melrose Park. The area is currently undergoing urban-renewal which aims to deliver over 11,000 new homes and a dedicated stop on Stage 2 of the Parramatta Light Rail.
