Matt Wilkinson’s The Pie Shop expands

Chef Matt Wilkinson has opened a second location of The Pie Shop in Melbourne’s CBD.

Originally launched in Brunswick East, the Collins Place site will offer a range of pies including cult classics The Bruce (spag bol) and The Shazza (cauliflower cheese and potato).

There are four additional pies on the menu from chunky beef and veg to butter chicken and rice, black pepper beef and cheese and a breakfast pie of jalapeno beans with egg and cheese.

The pies join a free-range sausage roll, dubbed The Graham, on the menu alongside sweet pies such as blackberry and ginger crumble and apple and salted caramel.

The Pie Shop will have a concise drinks list available from Kirks’ soft drinks to 36th Parallel coffee and Tea Drop tea.

The CBD store is open Monday to Saturday.
