Luke Powell’s Chippendale eatery LP’s Quality Meats is set to close its doors on 1 February next year.
Powell opened the venue in 2014, but has made the decision to close the restaurant arm of the business to focus on wholesale smallgoods.
LP’s products are found at a number of Sydney venues including Clayton Wells’ A1 Canteen and Powell’s own pizza restaurant, Bella Brutta.
The team will hold on to the Chippendale site and use the space for manufacturing and cooking classes, with the venue relaunching with around 50 seats for events and one-off dinners.
Members of the public will be able to visit the store on the weekend to pick up smallgoods.
